Bioma – Bioparco del Mediterraneo

Boscoreale (NA) - IT

2024

The project transforms 22 hectares of uncultivated land into a contemporary botanical park that narrates the evolution of the Mediterranean Biome through landscapes, architecture, and immersive pathways. The intervention reconnects city and nature through new squares, public spaces, and an access system that turns the park into a true cultural infrastructure for the community. The masterplan weaves together scientific research, education, innovation, and landscape design: university laboratories, experimental greenhouses, a plant genetic bank, and an Urban Center dedicated to public outreach form a unique and integrated ecosystem. The Botanical Park becomes a narrative journey through volcanic lakes, pioneer species, forests of living fossils, and gardens inspired by Pompeian domus, offering an experience that blends nature, history, and knowledge.
