Rita Levi Montalcini Park
Carugate (MI) – IT
2025
The project redesigns a strategic area of the city, transforming it into a contemporary green space. The intervention establishes a renewed architectural identity for the site, accommodating both sports activities and everyday use while ensuring full accessibility to public spaces and a balanced relationship between green surfaces, paved areas, pedestrian paths, and vehicular circulation. The new park defines a strong contemporary character through an integrated system of collective spaces: the multifunctional sports area, the skate arena, the new playground, the tree-lined square, the open-air arena, the refreshment point, and the dog area. At the heart of the project, the central playground—conceived as a large, open, and flexible space—acts as a social device where school life, community activities, sports, and creativity intersect and evolve throughout the day.
